We stayed in the this heritage mansion (Aaryaana Garden Villa)  from 7th of January to 11th of January in the south of Sri Lanka. It was very convenient for us to visit the many places of interest in and around Weligama. We Stayed in a up stair double room which was over looking the beautiful landscape garden.  It was lovely to wake up with the noise of the birds and quiet surrounding. Highlight of our stay was the friendliness of the staff and their ever helpful attitude.   We visited Mirissa by riding on a ordinary bicycle and it was very nice ride. Beach is quiet closer and there were ample space for us to have our privacy. The villa provided breakfast with some exotic sri lankan fruits and western breakfast and on request sometimes Sri Lankan breakfast. We would like to be back in the location on our next visit.

Response from Aaryaana:

Thank you very much for your review. Look forward to your recommendation our villa to your friends.

We were here for Xmas 2016 and were a mixed sex group of 10 British people aged 30’s staying for 10 days. The villa grounds are beautiful. In the garden during our stay we saw loads of birds inc peacocks, beecatchers and humming birds. We also saw two types of monkey and loads of large bats. The flowers and plants were well looked after and the villa had a real wildlife feel. With this comes the presence of a lot of insects and unfortunately a lot of mosquitos. The villa provided coils, and we had spray but perhaps mosquito nets would be a worthy investment to cater for those foreigners who are particularly sensitive and not used to tropical climates. The villa has plenty of space for a large group and we were comfortable in the conmunal areas. The villa decorated the table and house for us for christmas. One of the bathrooms was a lot better than the other and this encouraged people to just use the one bathroom upstairs which slowed down our time getting ready to head out for an evening. The bedrooms were comfortable, the fans provided adequate air circulation, the furniture in the rooms was new and very spacious. The villa provided a sri lankan breakfast every morning. The staff were so very kind and helpful and made sure there was enough food to our liking. Some of our party would have preferred cereals and toast instead of rice and curry, but I felt if we had asked they would have provided us with whatever we liked. They provided us with a bbq too and on a few occasions we paid for a very nice meal at the house. We were not expecting the staff to be on hand and so attentive throughout our stay. They were very kind and helpful and at times we felt bad that they would do so much. The villa is a good distance from the main beaches in Weligama. We had a driver and a van for the week which made things very easy. We found that tuk tuks didnt know where the villa was by name and so I think the villa would benefit from making cards for its guests to take out with them. It was not easy for our driver to find. Overall the villa was great value when as it comes with breakfast and staff on hand to look after you. We were the first group to use the villa and they were keen for me to give a detailed review so they can continue to improve the service.

Response from Aaryaana:
Dear Daniel, Thank you very much for your review as it helps us immensely to improve the facility as well as to see it through eyes of the user. With regard to mosquito nets we do have them at the villa and staff would have provided if requested. There is ample transport available and beach is around one km away. We will certainly print cards with address and a location map. Villa is also sold invidual room wise

I was visiting Sri Lanka alone and looking for suitable place and suddenly came across this villa quite accidentally. It was great stay and I felt as I was a princess in a Heritage mansion. Staff was very friendly and gave me some delicious Sri Lankan meals. Stayed almost a week even though originally I went to Weligama for only tow days to visit Mirissa as it was very close to many interesting places around.  Villa provided me all the tranquility and peace I looked for in the evenings.

It was wonderful to stay at the Aaryaana Garden Villa, we felt very much at home. Villa is not air conditioned how ever the fresh ventilation provided by fans were even better than living in air condition environment. I relay felt in love with Sri Lankan Food and hospitality.
